Institutional capacity development for curriculum implementation. MoE and its departments have enhanced technical skills and steer the enhancements and implementation of a transformative, gender responsive, inclusive and equity focused national curriculum.

Digital learning. A digitized and interactive learning content and competency-based curriculum delivery model implemented in 50 schools with attention to the unique needs of girls and boys.

Remediation and Learning Loss Recovery. Remediation and learning improvement programs that meet the guidelines and standards of the National Literacy and Mathematics Strategy (NLMS) implemented in 100 schools to address learning loss.

Multiple learning pathways. A gender transformative, multiple learning pathways program is developed and piloted in at least 20 schools with support from the functional vocational hubs.

Teacher development. Ministry of Education and the Maldives teacher training institutes respectively offer in-service and pre-service training programs to prepare teachers to manage classrooms and deliver the national curriculum using innovative and gender transformative teaching methods such as design thinking for competency-based learning, hybrid learning, differentiated learning methods and Universal Design for Learning (UDL).

Quality assurance and Learning assessment. At least 20 schools are implementing a robust, comprehensive, differentiated, and digitized nation-wide classroom quality assurance and assessment system that prioritizes the tracking of individual student learning outcomes, especially those with complex learning profiles, and gender differences in learning outcomes, and contributes to system wide education sector performance.

Minimum Infrastructure Standards (MIS). A costed framework for minimum Infrastructure Standards (MIS) for schools is in place and is applied to modify at least 20 schools to become inclusive model schools for universal accessibility.
